Crazy Hair and Mustache Day at CIS

We had a crazy day celebrating Dr.Seuss.

Rock Cycle

The way to a young scientist mind is through their stomach. We enjoyed learning about the rock cycle using starburst. We started by cutting our starburst into pieces to represent sediment. After, we put them together to make a sedimentary rock. Then, we applied heat and pressure to create a metamorphic rock.

(We were having so much fun Mrs.Olson forgot to take very many pictures.)

A Great Week at CIS!

Wow, have we had a great week! We started the week celebrating Martin Luther King Jr with the rest of the school. We had a wonderful time learning about a great man with our 4th grade buddies.

Hudson brought a surprise for us to check out! Aren't they cute?

We are officially 100 days smarter! To celebrate we raced to 100 in math!

Learning About Culture Through Food

The last couple of weeks we did some digging into our family history. We learned we have links to many different countries and cultures. The students were invited to bring a dish that represented their culture. The different food we were able to try was amazing!

Christmas

We had a fun filled week before Christmas break. We participated in Christmas around the world, enjoyed a school-wide sing along, and enjoyed a party in our room.
