Back to School Science

Mrs.Olson's class started the year off with a little science. Who knew you could have so much fun with a plastic baggie, water, and a couple pencils. Did you know you can stick pencils through a plastic baggie full of water and not spill?

Mrs.Olson got only one drop on his head!

We even had fun pulling the pencils out of the bag and watching the water fly out. We decided to not do this over anyone's head. :)

Historic School

Mrs.Olson's class had a weird experience on the bus last week. We got on and headed to the Dawes County Museum. When we arrived to our surprise it was 1888. We went back in time! ;) We stepped in the school and learned about reading, writing, and arithmetic. Luckily, no one had to wear the dunce cap. We enjoyed the spelling bee, practicing our penmanship, and orthography.  Our class even enjoyed touring the museum. It was a great time! Some of the students said they wanted to stay!

These were our 3 winners for penmanship, orthography, and deportment.

Bird Watch

Third grade enjoyed our annual bird watch! We saw lots of neat birds on our hike. We also were able to play games and learn even more about birds. It was a great day!
